From all indications, the Red Devils are seeking to change a whole of things in the team. According to recent reports by Football Insider, the club has almost succeeded in landing teenage sensation, Tahith Chong from Feyenoord football club. The 16 year old talent hinged his decision on Manchester United’s plan for teenage stars.
Tahith attracted a lot of interest from top clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal. Just last month, the winger was quoted saying his preferred option would be stay at Feyenoord. The Dutch club also wanted him for keeps but latest reports reveal that Manchester United and Feyenoord are in the final stage of deal.
Manchester United announced the pre-season plans this week. The eight-day trip which would take place in the Far East would see the team in action in china. The executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward told reporters: “A total of almost 500,000 supporters have attended previous games during our visits to China and we have always enjoyed exceptional support in the country, so naturally it is something that everybody is very much looking forward to this summer.”
However, the plans didn’t include current head coach Louis Van Gaal. Unlike when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge, the current plan didn’t mention LVG’s name at all – it was almost as if he was away taking a course in Wedding Photography in Cheshire instead!? This just adds to the speculation that former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho might take over at the end of the season.
United is attracting a buzz in the transfer market as it is currently linked with many players. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly one of the top targets this summer. His impressive run this season has attracted several interests but united is really keen on clinching the forward.
United is still interested in Napoli defender, Kaliou Koulibaly. The Senegalese star has had a great season at Napoli and the Red Devils is looking to reinforce the defense with his acquisition. Several talents are also linked to Manchester United. Toni Kroos is another. One thing is however clear, Manchester United is seeking a change.
